Patio Furniture Covers Waterproof Heavy Duty — Outdoor Sectional Sofa and Table Cover Set, UV Resistant Winter Protection for Deck Furniture

$59.99

A $60 cover set is what stands between a $2,000 patio set and buying it again in three years. 600D heavy-duty fabric with a waterproof backing, taped seams and tie-downs that actually hold in a windstorm.

Why people keep this one

  • 600D fabric, taped seams. Most cheap covers fail at the stitch line, not the fabric — water runs straight through unsealed needle holes. Taped seams are the difference between a cover and a tarp.
  • Vented, so it doesn't sweat. Mesh vents let trapped moisture escape. A fully sealed cover traps condensation and grows mould on the cushions you were trying to protect.
  • Straps and buckles, not just a drawstring. Windproof tie-downs under the base keep it on the furniture through a fall storm instead of in your neighbour's yard.

When it matters

The winter shutdown

Covering in October and uncovering in April is the whole use case. Frost heave, ice, road salt and UV all attack outdoor furniture, and covered furniture comes out looking like it did in September.

Between weekends at the cottage

If nobody's there for five days, everything gets rained on. Ten minutes of covering on Sunday means dry seating on Friday.

Pollen, sap and bird season

Under a tree, a cover saves more scrubbing in spring than it does damage in winter. Sap in particular does not come out of outdoor fabric.

Questions people ask before buying

How do I know it'll fit my set?

Measure your furniture — width, depth and height at the tallest point — before ordering, and pick the size that's slightly larger. A cover that's too tight strains the seams; slightly loose with the straps cinched is correct.

Will snow load damage it?

Heavy wet snow sitting on a flat span is the main stressor. Put something under the cover to create a peak — a patio chair, a bucket on the table — so snow and water shed off instead of pooling.

Should I cover cushions or bring them in?

Bring them in. A cover protects frames and hard surfaces well; fabric cushions in an unheated space over a Canadian winter will still take on moisture. Store cushions dry and indoors.

Ships from our fulfillment partner. Cover the furniture dry — sealing in moisture is the one mistake that causes mould.
